The traditional sludge dewatering methods mainly include frame type sludge dewatering machine, centrifugal sludge dewatering machine and belt type sludge dewatering machine.

Disadvantages of plate and frame sludge dehydrator

The feeding port of the filter frame is easy to be blocked, the filter cake is difficult to take out, cannot operate continuously, the handling capacity is small, the working pressure is low, the square plate made of ordinary materials is not pressure resistant and easy to break, the filter cloth consumption is large, the plate and frame are difficult to be unattended, and the filter cloth often needs to be cleaned manually. At the same time, the plate and frame filter press also needs to be guarded by a specially assigned person. It is characterized by poor automaticity, many moving parts, instability, low equipment investment, difficult maintenance, complex operation, special management and short service life.

Disadvantages of centrifugal sludge dehydrator

The noise is loud, and the change of material concentration requires timely adjustment of speed and speed difference. There is fog containing mud. Improper operation may lead to mud outlet blockage. Generally, centrifugal sludge machine is rarely used in China, and imported machines are more expensive.

Disadvantages of belt type sludge dehydrator

The price is expensive, the floor area is large, the water consumption is large, and the maintenance cost is high.

Transformation advantages of sludge dewatering press

1. Replace the plate and frame filter press with the sludge dewatering press. The plate and frame filter press itself has no flocculation mixing tank and no concentration function. The plate and frame filter press needs to build a thickener, while the sludge dewatering press is an integrated thickener and dehydrator. It is equipped with a sludge flocculation mixing tank, which is simpler, occupies a small area, has a high degree of automation, and can operate continuously.

2. Replace the belt filter press with sludge dewatering press. Both the belt filter press and sludge dewatering press are equipped with flocculation mixing tank, which can be operated continuously. However, the belt filter press has a large amount of cleaning water, a large amount of secondary sewage and a strong taste. As a comparison, the sludge dewatering press uses the principle of combining the annular plate with the spiral shaft. The annular plate always moves relatively, so it is not easy to block, and the amount of cleaning water is very small.
